Owner/Director, Bettie Jane Bryant

Bettie Jane (Utterback) Bryant has been dancing since age 9 with an emphasis on tap.  She was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland and studied all forms of dance with Betty Lou Cavalier and Julia Mayer.  In addition, Bettie Jane has studied with professional entertainers, instructors and choreographers nationwide since 1961.  Miss Bettie has been teaching students of all ages and levels for over 55 years.  She began her studio at the young age of 14.  Bettie Jane is a member of Dance Masters of America, Inc. (DMA), Chapter 17, and she held the office of President of the Del/Mar/Va Chapter 49 of NADAA (National Association of Dance and Affiliated Artists). She was also a National Vice President of NADAA.   Additionally, Ms. Bettie Jane was a convention instructor in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York of the same organization.

Bettie Jane has an extremely qualified faculty of instructors, all of which grew up dancing with and learning from her.  All of the staff members at Bettie Jane’s Center of Dance Art share Miss Bettie’s love for dance and dance education.
